Dottie and Tom Swift bought the Big Rack Ranch in 1994. They wanted a place to hunt and fish close to home and got it forty-five minutes from Dallas. The ranch comprises more than 2,000 acres, which includes a state-of-the-art whitetail breeding facility.
Big Rack is known for its high quality whitetail population, which has put an emphasis on breeding looks over score for over 25 years.
Our foundation genetics are centered around five main doe lines in Texas:
Red 55 – Monarch’s Dam
Yankee Doodle Dandy – Bambi 727’s Dam
Blue 510, 214 & Purple 914 – Kid Dynamite’s Dam, Grand Dam & Great Grand Dam respectively
J5 Miss HR-10 - Dam to No Limit, Hang ‘Em High, Southern Impact I&II, Rising Star, 5ive-O and High Limit
89 Blue (Lucian’s Doe) – Bambi Splitear’s Dam
We put a lot of emphasis into breeding large typicals with “the look”. We have assembled a group of top of the line does out of some of the industry’s biggest typicals and breed them back to bucks that are known to produce.
